What is the Legacy Identifier Service?


Our Legacy Identifier service drills down into your database to analyze who typically gives a planned gift and scans the database to determine who else also fits this “ideal planned gift prospect” profile. Armed with this information, your fundraisers will be able to confidently go out, meet these new planned gift prospects, determine the correct ask amount, and secure more five and six-figure planned gifts!



How The Legacy Identifier Process Works


This service involves three parts: a wealth screening analysis, a database analysis using the statistical package "R", and prospect profiles. 


The wealth screening analysis starts with taking the name and home address of all your donors in the database and sending the data to a wealth screening service for analysis. The donor names are then matched against a massive amount of information they have on these donors and send us back the dataset for the second stage of the process. 


The second stage involves inputting the wealth screening results, along with additional data points from the charity's donor database, into "R". We perform a data analysis to determine who is most likely to give a planned gift at the $10K+ level and provides a preliminary estimate of how much they can give. The results are ranked to reveal the top prospects in the dataset. 


We then take this list of donors and choose the top 10 prospects to investigate further using prospect profiling. We uncover their biographical, occupational, weatlh & assets, charitable giving, and linkages and community connections so that you can confidently reach out to the prospects and begin the cultivation journey with them.
