Find New External Prospects To Fund Your Campaign When Your Donor Pool Is Running Empty

While starting the prospecting process within your database first is the preferred way to find donors, sometimes this just isn't possible. Maybe your health organization is small or just starting up, you are starting a new program, you are seeking to provide services to a new geographic region, or are operating in an economically depressed area lacking good major gift prospects. 


Our Hot Prospecting service solves this problem by identifying new external prospects (outside of your donor database) who can give large gifts to jumpstart your fundraising campaign. Let's find you some new prospects!



How The Hot Prospecting Service Pocess Works

We meet with our clients (via Zoom or Teams) and determine their criteria for identifying new prospects. We discuss the project's goals (what are we trying to achieve here?), type of prospects needed, number of prospects desired, what a good prospect looks like (gift capacity, linkage, interest, gender, geography, other), and where to look for good prospects (board members, non-profit leadership, similar organizations, wealth lists, other ideas). 


We take these criteria, build a screening matrix, utilize our charity intelligence databases, news articles, internet searching, other information resources), and find good prospects who fit the criteria. The prospects are then screening using the criteria and the best ones are identified. We also include notes on the prospects that we find along the way and provide contact information (phone/email) for your fundraisers. 


We not only give you the Excel file with the dataset, we also create MS Word documents (profile briefs) that contain all the informaiton on a prospect. This makes it easier for fundraisers to use on their calls. 



Past Projects:

- Identified 35 high-quality external prospects, to fund a major capital building campaign for Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation, who are currently in cultivation and are poised to make 7-figure gifts to RCHF.

- Identified 25 qualified external individual, corporate, and foundation prospects for a hospital foundation who had the capacity and interest to contribute donations to a pediatric genetics campaign and are currently in cultivation.
